This is a new blog idea, that is not so new and not such an idea…but still a lot of people don’t know about these great, short pieces of art, and i feel that they should get more recognition. Some of these will be based purely on the concept, some will be based on the visuals, but i feel to have a great film clip it needs to be both. The best film clips are the ones that trap you into watching the whole thing from start to finish. Essentially that’s the essence of the idea. They don’t have to cost millions or take years to shoot, some of the best film clips are also the most simple.

A man wakes up to find he has an explosive heart. This is a great film clip, and i know what you’re thinking…You’re thinking, “hey Scott i came here to be entertained and this is depressing”. Well ok but still it’s a great film clip and it makes you think…what would you do?

The single’s famous video was directed by Jamie Thraves, who was hand-picked by the band after they saw several of his experimental short films. It was filmed near Liverpool Street Station in London, and intersperses.
