To the world of Apple lovers Jonathan Ive is the Jackson Pollock of the computing world. Apple revolutionized the design of computers in 1998 with the iMac and it’s this which reignited Apple in the competitive market.
Jonathan Ive was the Senior designer for the iMac and kick started Apple to the powerhouse that it is today. Mac needed a point of contrast, something to set them apart from Microsoft which was dominating the market. This brought about the iMac, that colourful, frosted plastic computer. Such a simple idea, creating a computer that looked good, but till that point eluded the industry. This began Apple’s own domination of the market.
